One reason I especially wanted to do this interview is that Chris was one of the few political analysts besides me in 2016 who not only correctly and very publically predicted Donald Trump’s 2016 victory but the states he would win (I had 48 correct but gave Pennsylvania to Biden and not yet realizing the full impact of mail in voting and widespread legalization of drugs on the street in Denver gave Colorado to Trump) based on his understanding of grassroots voter sentiment rather than conventional wisdom. During my years as a monthly guest on Boston Herald Radio after our upset of Eric Cantor, I came to appreciate his willingness to challenge the prevailing narrative with real, on-the-ground analysis.
